The energy systems sector of the plastic product specialists Schütz, Selters, Germany has increased to a total of 60 million Euro. Energy systems include the Tank-in-Tank for oil storage, “Aqua Block” rainwater storage as well as the “Air conomy” system for the controlling of room temperature and ventilation based on a ventilated warm water surface heating/cooling system. These three activities form their own company, The Schütz Energietechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The company is responsible for roughly 10 % of the Schütz Group’s turnover.
The strongest part of the group is still industrial packaging (liquid containers) with approx. 75% of the turnover. The third area develops among other things extrusion blow moulding machines, production machines and produces materials in sandwich-structure. Schütz employs ca. 2000 people (roughly 1300 in Germany) in 20 production plants worldwide. The company, founded in 1958, has factories in the USA, in a number of European countries, in China (Shanghai) as well as licensed producers in countries such as Japan and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of transport packaging for liquids of all kinds.
