Extension of the production of system cam plates

New installation at the factory in Ransbach-Baumbach / Despite increasing demand, Schütz Energy Systems will continue to guarantee with this investment high quality and rapid delivery throughout the whole of Europe

Selters (hds).- Whether being laid diagonally without clamping aids, difficult room layouts, heavy traffic, very different sorts of floor screeds, Push-Button System - the new cam plate system from Schütz has proven its worth. On the market for about a year, it has passed all its practical tests. With their quickness and minimum use of energy during laying, they have already proven themselves to be extremely useful on many a building site.

In order to cope with the increasing demand in the whole of Europe, Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA installed its own new production facility in its factory at Ransbach-Baumbach in 2006. With this action, Schütz is also continuing in heating technology along its route of annual investments, which are generally far above the depreciation expenses.

All manufacturing stages are completed on the new production line. This guarantees quality control, as well as short-term supply in the building trade’s seasonal peak periods. By means of this innovative installation, new work and training vacancies were created at our traditional location of Ransbach-Baumbach.

All seven stages for the production of cam plates have been carried out in the Westerwald for as long as ten month:

  • Input material mixing for the covering film of polystyrene and special flame proofing agent
  • Covering film production by means of a film extruder with a sheet die and subsequent laminator
  • Film shaping by means of a fully automatic thermal deep-drawing installation
  • Frothing of the expandable polystyrene (EPS) in the frothing installation
  • Interim storage of the frothed EPS in venting silos for condensing out sponging agent and water vapour
  • Pour and set foaming, or foaming in mould, for the double layer EPS foamed in mould element by means of a 3-stage transfer machine:
    1. Foaming of the non-crushable cam layer
    2. Foaming of the lighter polystyrene layer onto the cam layer
    3. Elastification of the foamed in mould element
  • Clamping of the PS covering film onto the EPS foamed in mould element, likewise by means of the 3-stage transfer machine
Versatile employment possibilities: Not only in all kinds of new buildings, but also in old buildings, the cam plate from Schütz fulfils the highest requirements.
