Water bills slashed
For the sake of the environment and the wallet: According the Federal Audit Ministry 3.75 billion mof the 7.3 m of water supplied by the German water providers is used by either small businesses or households. That means that every German resident uses an average of 127 litres of expensive water for cooking, washing and flushing the toilet Cooking and washing account for only about 40 % of the daily consumption. That means that over half of a household’s daily consumption could be replaced by rainwater collected in tanks. This reduction would not lower living costs but also the energy required to transport, purify water and then eventually dispose of the waste water.
Schütz supports the environmentally use of rainwater with “Aqua Block”. The tank with a volume of 750 or 1000 litres as a cellar tank and between 3500 to 5200 as a ground tank, both are made of high quality HDPE plastic. The cellar tanks weigh between 22 and 30 KG, which makes transportation very easy. The models for outside do not require millimetre precision when being buried as they have an extendable siphon which can be adjusted to make sure it is flush with the ground level.
