Office and administration building built in Dello / Italian technicians install panel heating on cam plates at the new location
Dello (hds). – Efficient energy usage and the utilisation of environmentally friendly energy combinations are currently of great interest to the worlds of business and industry worldwide. Heating technology is also gaining increasing market share in the wake of these international developments. The German company Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA, which is based in Selters/Westerwald, recognised these future opportunities at an early date, and has been helping to meet this increased global demand for many years now. Already last summer, a new production facility, office and administration building were erected in Dello, Italy.
Demanding energy consumers
More than a year has now passed, and Sales Manager Norbert Potthoff is ready with some initial conclusions: "We have been able to gain a foothold in Italy – as well as in other European countries such as the Netherlands and Austria – far more quickly than most. The increasing awareness of consumers about the importance of energy was an important prerequisite for this development. The more careful use of fossil fuels that has resulted, as well as the increased utilisation of an energy mix (i.e. a combination of fossil fuels and renewable energies) has also been of valuable assistance to us."
New location – new energy technology
Modern energy technology from Schütz was also utilised at the new Italian location: Between April and May 2006, the Italian company Duemme Impianti SRL, based in Susegana, installed a total of 900 square metres of cam plates, Vari Takk PUR and PE-Xa pipes to create a modern state-of-the-art underfloor heating system. The entire installation of the system took place without any costly delivery delays and was completed during the normal building phase, something which is unfortunately far from standard practice nowadays. The conditions at Schütz Energy Systems, however, are far more positive: the company is responsible for producing the cam plates – including those used in Italy – entirely in house at its state-of-the-art primary location in Selters, meaning that it is fully independent of external suppliers.
