2006: The global player from the Westerwald achieved a worldwide turnover of 600 million Euros / Thanks to sensitive consumers: Heating technology products are particularly on the advance in Europe Selters (hds).- Schütz GmbH & Co. KGaA, one of the leading global players from the Westerwald, has able in 2006 to increase its turnover: From 500 (2005) to 600 million Euro (2006). This medium-sized company, which is operating even after almost 50 years as an independent business and on a worldwide basis with a workforce of more than 2,500, has been experiencing above-average growth for years and counts as one of the 'hidden champions' in the global marketplace.
True to its guiding principle of 'Made in Germany', development and production continues to be carried out at its German headquarters. For just-in-time supplies right around the globe, this is now also carried out in the meantime, using Westerwald expertise, at further locations in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Included in Schütz's product range are transport packaging systems - mainly for the chemical industry, systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plus sub-contractor products for the aviation industry. Furthermore, our own mechanical engineering and tool manufacturing activities for products manufactured by Schütz take up an ever-wider sphere. This is mainly a question of special machines that are manufactured for subsidiaries and licensees and includes the planning of factories.
In the heating technology sector too, the extension of our market share is progressing rapidly and internationally. Sales Manager Norbert Potthoff: "Particularly in European countries such as Italy, the Netherlands and Austria, we have found our feet very quickly. The sensitizing of consumers to the topic of energy was an essential prerequisite for this. The resultant efficient handling of fossil fuels and the increased employment of energy-mix, i.e. a combination of fossil and renewable energy, provided us with valuable support."
