Transport packaging passes through numerous logistics processes: While only 4 drums with a volume of 800 liters can be transported on a pallet, an IBC contains a volume of 1,000 liters. Thus, in each process, an IBC replaces 5 drums – with the space requirement of 4 drums.

Choice depends on the following customer-specific requirements:
• Filling goods • Transport regulations • Storage • Type of emptying, implementation site, handling • Retrieval / disposal, reconditioning
Based on your needs, we recommend an ECOBULK system, which meets all requirements and provides maximum safety and economy across the entire supply chain.

IBC’s by SCHÜTZ save on space: With each transport, with each loading process – in comparison with a steel -or plastic drum – 25% more filling goods can be transported with the same space requirement. Our contacts are available to you for further information.

With 1,000 liters of filling goods, each of 5 drums need to be opened, filled, closed and, if applicable, labeled.
With an IBC, these procedures only need to be carried out once in each case. Our contacts are available to you for further information.

Drums must be individually or additionally stretched on pallets – IBC’s are principally accommodated on a pre-selected pallet and can be transported directly as a fixed unit. Thus, when loading and unloading a truck with drums (unstretched), 90 minutes are required with two workers, while a truck with IBC’s can be unloaded using a forklift truck in only 20 minutes. Our contacts are available to you for further information.

When transporting IBC’s, due to the ISO standardised dimensions, the volume of means of transport are virtually optimally utilised. Thus, a 20’ container only holds 80 drums with 16,000 liters, while 20,000 liters of your product can be transported in 20 IBC’s in the same space. Our contacts are available to you for further information.

30 drums with 6,000 liters of volume that have not been stretched onto a pallet, require an area of 5 square meters for storage. 16 IBC’s can be accommodated on the same area.
The IBC also displays advantages over barrels transported on pallets: drums can only be stacked threefold, while IBC’s can be stacked fourfold. Our contacts are available to you for further information.

Through the installed discharge fittings or specialised extraction systems, 1,000 liters can be easily extracted from IBC’s. In comparison with drums, several work processes can also be saved here, as 5 drums must each be individually opened, checked and emptied. Our contacts are available to you for further information.
