As a result of the constant further development of extrusion technologies at SCHÜTZ, up to six different materials can now be used for the extrusion of containers.
Extrusion of 2 plastic layers:
 
  • Used as a standard container.
  • HDPE inner layer with new material.
  • HDPE outer layer with new material and re-granulate (plastic removed as waste and reused).
Extrusion of an additional thin outer layer of conductive or antistatic material:
 
  • Is applied for containers that are intended for use in Ex-zones.
  • Outer layer of conductive or antistatic material 6-layer extrusion.
Extrusion of 3 more additional layers:
One barrier layer (EVOH) and 2 bonding agents
 
  • Is applied for containers that are to be equipped with an EVOH barrier. Additional extrusion of an EVOH barrier layer and 2 bonding agents.
  • As an option: outer layer of conductive or antistatic material.
