FAQs – Labelling

Can I return containers that no longer have any labelling or where the labelling is illegible?

No. Uncleaned containers can only ever be returned via the SCHÜTZ TICKET SERVICE if the former filling product can be clearly identified by means of the labelling/sticker on the container.

You will also find full information and example images in the interactive booklet about collection conditions ready for downloading here.

Why is it so important that the labelling is still intact on empty containers?

Under the European Agreement concerning the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR), even emptied hazardous goods containers continue to constitute hazardous goods and are therefore to be transported with all the requisite documents and labels.

You will find more information about the ADR here

The labelling on the IBC is no longer present or illegible – what can I do about it?

All mandatory labelling, stickers and documents must be re-attached/prepared prior to collection by the SCHÜTZ TICKET SERVICE so that identification of the hazardous goods category or filling product is possible at all times.
