Innovative solutions even allow it to be used in areas where steel packaging was previously used. For example, a sophisticated multilayer technology gives the inner bottle a non-conductive outer layer, which makes the container suitable for use in ex-zones. An integrated EVOH barrier also effectively prevents permeation.

Compared with transporting a product in five new steel drums of 200 litres each, a new 1,000-liter ECOBULK directly saves up to 30 % in CO₂ emissions.

In addition, the design of the ECOBULK makes it ideal for components to be reused and the use of recyclate, which improves the CO₂ footprint even more.
