The use of recycled material for the inner bottles and drum bodies of our GREEN LAYER product range now further reduces the CO₂ footprint while still meeting our customary high quality and safety standards, including UN approval for hazardous goods.

As an innovation leader in multi-layer blow moulding, our global network uses state-of-the-art SCHÜTZ production technology to produce the new IBCs. The current generation of production lines enables us to easily insert a middle layer of recycled plastic between two layers of virgin material.

The resulting recycled content of 30 % in the IBC inner container or drum body increases the total proportion of recovered plastic to up to 68 % and leads to an additional CO₂ saving of 6.8 kg per IBC and up to 3.8 kg per drum. At the same time, the inner and outer layers of virgin material offer maximum protection for the filling material and the environment.
